A Lover's Duality

Alone, I walk through the desert
Sand billows around me
Gritty, dusty
Stinging as it pelts
I look ahead
An angel hovers atop the highest dune
She hurts my eyes to look at her
Blinding white surrounds
Encircles
Draws me into it
Caresses me
Exfoliates me
Leaves me stripped and raw
Sand pelts me
Stinging like a thousand tiny needles

Elsewhere:
The whiteness unfolds
I look around
White sheets and down surround me
I see her body
Nude, curved, inviting
Pink, pale, lovely
My hands slide across her skin
I weep
"I love you"
Our lips collide and refuse to part
Our hands search each other
Our bodies desire
Our blood flows
We are one

The soul(s)hell

a crack
the tiniest
of cracks, but
i am exposed to
the outside world
death, i say
doom, decay
i am not
deranged

alas,
it is too much
i see everything
infinity squared
it has poured
through the crack
the flood is coming and
i can do nothing to stop it
it will overwhelm me, crush me
death, i scream aloud, death, doom
decay, derangement, flood
famine, pestilence
cats and dogs
living together
mass hysteria

the light
it still peeks through
the crack in my shell
that i dare not leave
paranoia, but too much
never again
too much
too soon
